HOW DO I START MY TAX REFUND

There are lots of ways to start your claim:

  • Chat to one of our team online using Livechat. You can open Livechat by clicking the the Live Chat icon at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Complete the relevant application using our application selector tool, here.
  • Call us on 0333 444 1054.

If you are unable to contact us for whatever reason, let us know the best time to contact you. Our outbound telephone numbers start with ‘0203’ – so you know its us.

Once we have received all information relevant to your enrolment and/or rebate request, your claim will be processed by HM Revenue & Customs. The sooner we receive your information and signed forms, the sooner you will receive your tax refund. Typically, we are able to issue rebates via cheque within 6-8 weeks.

WHY HAVE I RECEIVED A LETTER?

If you have received a letter from us, we have identified that it is highly likely based upon your circumstances that you are due a rebate – The letter is a notification of your entitlement to make a claim through the Rebate Gateway.

We appreciate that receiving a letter out of the blue may be unnerving, however Rebate Gateway are recognised as a Tax Agent by HM Revenue & Customs under registration number HY3075 and the Information Commissioners Office under registration number ZA766745.

WHAT REBATES COULD I BE ENTITLED TOO?

Given that nearly 40% of adults in the United Kingdom are entitled to a tax rebate, through anything from the use of an incorrect or emergency tax code to unclaimed Marriage Allowance and Workplace Expenses.

The easiest way to find out what you could be entitled to is by contacting us on 0333 444 1054, where we will be able to instigate a full review into your tax code to ascertained if you are due a rebate – of anything up to £3000!

HOW QUICKLY WILL I GET MY TAX REFUND

Once your rebate documentation has been generated and accepted by a HM Revenue & Customs PAYE or Self-Assessment Agent – we are normally able to issue a rebate via cheque or bank transfer within 6-8 weeks.
